Data Protection
Our specialists have over twenty years of experience in the field of data protection.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has led to many significant changes and reforms over the past five years.
We support our clients in dealing with all data protection regulations, including applicable special legislation, and represent them before courts (Litigation) and authorities (Administrative Law).
This covers typical issues such as how a company should organise itself, how data should be generally handled, how sensitive data should be treated, who is allowed to have access to data, what data may be passed on, what to do in the event of errors or complaints, for example, and much more. We draw up the (internal) documents required in such a case, sensitise or train employees or also act as (external) data protection officers or as representatives for companies not based in the EEA.
We constantly keep abreast of the rapid developments in this area and are very well networked. This is illustrated by our involvement in the Datenschutzverein (DSV) in Liechtenstein (data protection association) as well as our co-operation with the Berufsverband der Datenschutzbeauftragten Deutschlands (BvD) e.V. (association of data protection officers in Germany) and the Verein österreichischer Datenschutzbeauftragter (association of data protection officers in Austria).
